A pet’s quality of life refers to their feelings of enjoyment of their life. This can be difficult to understand since we can’t just ask our pets if they are enjoying their lives. Because of this, we have to observe their actions and characteristics in a variety of areas to try to understand how they are feeling about their life overall.
Below is a tool to help and “quantify” a pet’s quality of life to help us understand areas we might be able to improve as well as begin to make some end of life decision. There is also a calendar to help you track your pet’s “good days” and “bad days”.
